Kia has long been renowned for providing affordable cars and excellent performance. One of its most successful models is the Kia Sorento. It was so successful that different editions of the basic design have been launched all over the world. In this article, the focus will be on the Kia Sorento Ex which has gained a lot of following among Kia fans.
The first Sorento model has a bigger frame for a body compared to the Sorento Ex to emphasise its rugged features. It was then considered unique compared to other crossover cars especially because it introduced a new level of performance. Among the benefits it offers include distinguished styling, ample space, and off-road capabilities.
However, demand for crossover models with more comfortable seating increased. Passemgers now wanted a lot of space without compromising sporty features of the SUV. This is why Kia Sorento Ex was developed. The model offers optional second and third row seating as well as a smaller, trimmer look.
The new Kia Sorento Ex comes in both manual and automatic six-speed transmission as well as front-wheel driving capabilities. The Kia Sorento Ex also comes with a lot of add-ons to complement its looks. Front bumpers, headlights, and its sharp appeal allow this model to compete with more sporty luxury cars like Lexus in terms of visual appearance.
Here are some of Kia Sorento Ex's visual features:
• Classic SUV body with a higher beltline for the sides
• Sharp headlamps and large tail lamps
• Stylish front bumper, chrome applications on the rim
• Muffler well hid behind the rear bumper
A distinct feature of the Kia Sorento Ex possesses (in comparison to the older model) is that it can seat up to seven people while allowing the second row and third row seat to be folded – similar to that of Hyundai Santa Fe.
Meanwhile, the Kia Sorento Ex also matches the Kia Soul (which is known for its audio units) in terms of audio features.USB connectivity also allows it to be compatible with an iPod just. However, it can't be said that this model has it all. The engine does fairly well but is relatively small compared to the body's size – that would be one of the biggest drawbacks of this model. It still makes for a smooth and comfortable ride overall. This much is not surprising since this model belongs to Kia's high end category and a smooth, noise-free ride is only expected.
