2011 Kia Soul

A range of updates for the 2012 Kia Soul have been announced for Australia.

The updated look had its premiere overseas earlier this year, and is expected to make its way to Australian shores by the end of the year.

The most significant modifications see the four-speed automatic engine replaced by a new six-speed, and will now feature new gear selection. Manual Kia Soul models will be updated from a five to a six-speed transmission.

New front and rear bumpers - along with new headlamp and tail lamp designs - give the Kia Soul a new appearance. The alloy wheel design and wing mirror casing have also been restyled.

The car's interior received a boost, adding a tilting and telescoping steering and additional sound insulation to the list of existing features. Kia Soul+ models will also now come with a cargo cover.

The Kia Soul is already one of the highlights in the marque's range, earning a maximum five-star ANCAP safety rating with safety features such as impact sensing auto door unlocking, electronic stability control and hill start assist.

The 2011 Kia Soul is currently available from $19,990 driveaway.
